Tax Information
The 2010-2011 School Tax bills will be sent out at the end of September. The taxes will be payable from October 1, through November 1, without penalty at the following places:
Community Bank, 103 Main Street Salamanca, NY 14779
Cattaraugus County Bank, 550 Broad Street Salamanca, NY 14779
Five Star Bank, 107 Main Street, Salamanca, NY 14779
Seneca Elementary School Office, 25 Center St. Salamanca, NY 14779 Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Any payments received after this date will be forwarded to the City of Salamanca Comptroller’s Office or Cattaraugus County Treasurer’s Office, however applicable. It is important that you enclose your receiver’s stub portion of your tax bill with your payment in order to be correctly posted.
THE DISTRICT TAX CODE IS 556
The Salamanca City Central School District Code for income tax purposes is 556. Due to the extreme importance of this to the District we ask all of you to put this number on your state income tax. This number determines the amount of state aid that the school district gets. Therefore, we encourage everyone to enter this number on your state income tax forms.
Detailed Budget Statement:
The School District has copies of the current school year budget available throughout the school year. The budget for the following school year will be made available seven days prior to the budget hearing for the new school year. Salamanca City Central School District’s Tax Code is 556.
