Mandatory 5-hour pre-licensing course
In order to take a road test for a New York State driver's license, students must obtain a Learner's Permit and successfully complete a Five-Hour pre-licensing course, after which they would receive a MV-278 certificate. This is a mandatory requirement for all first-time drivers as well as for those with expired or revoked licenses. A valid driver's permit is required while attending this course. There is a $25.00 fee (effective July 1, 2012) for the course. Effective immediately is a $10 charge for duplicates. Pyment should be by check or money order. Registration information and required materials: there is no pre-registration. Students should arrive 5-10 minutes before the start of class with their valid driver learner’s permit and a pen or pencil and the class fee of $25. For information call 716-945-2404 ext. 6201.
Time & Place: Class meets at Salamanca High School from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (with a break at 10:00 a.m.). Classes will be held in Room 89.
