Welcome from the Principal: Mrs. Ann Marie Anderson

HS Principal Ann Marie Anderson

On behalf of the faculty and staff of the newly merged Junior/Senior High School I want to welcome you to a new and exciting adventure for all of us! We have a dedicated and caring staff working hard to help students achieve to the best of their ability with a well-rounded education. We encourage students to develop their talents and emerge as contributing members of society. Students can direct their own paths and, with the encouragement of their families and the school, become the best that they can be.

When the students return in September, the Salamanca Middle School, Alternative School and High School will be a united 7-12 building. New initiatives you will hear about are “common core,” “Warrior Den,” “interim assessments,” and “Standard Learning Objectives.”  These are all programs that New York State and Salamanca School District are implementing to make education better for all students.

The “Warrior Way” has become a functioning part of the school. Students will continue receiving “wisda” for exhibiting positive behavior. The core values behind the Warrior Way are to be safe, respectful and responsible. We will continue to have many extracurricular activities available for all students as they continue their adventure through the newly merged school. In all of these moves Salamanca Junior/Senior High School will continue to provide a well-rounded education for all of its students. The school will continue to strive to achieve high academic standards, diverse programming and a wide range of extracurricular activities as it collectively serves as a positive center for this community. We invite you, as parents, to take an active role in your child’s education and become partners with us during their years at Salamanca Junior/Senior High School.
