As the Native American Program Coordinator I oversee all programs and services for Native American students in our district.  I work closely with the district staff, the Seneca Nation and other agencies to ensure that our students have the tools they need to be successful in and out of the classroom.  We have an amazing staff who are dedicated to being strong supports for our students academically, socially and emotionally.  They are also a support system for the families as a whole.

Hello, I am Kimberly Cian. I have been actively involved in the Native students’ academics as a Teacher/Tutor for the Seneca Nation since 2011. Last school year, I accepted the position of Native American Social Worker for grades 8-12.

Students are welcome to meet with me for counseling, coping/emotional/social skills, educational direction, and general support. There are opportunities to meet individually, as well as in group settings.

It is my goal to provide support and reassurance to our students during the school day. Families/Guardians are welcome to be actively involved in this process through open communication, meetings, and home visits.

I am the school counselor for all Native American students in grades 8-12 at Salamanca HS. I have been a School Counselor and Administrator for the last 19 years. In addition to my role as a school counselor, I am also a Varsity Football coach at Salamanca. The core values that define my personal and educational philosophies are building positive relationships, effective communication, mutual respect, and personal responsibility.

As a school counselor, it is my job to ensure the academic, social, emotional, cultural and vocational well-being of all my students. My goal is to assist students in developing appropriate personal and career plans, based on their abilities, interests and objectives with the help of their families. I work to ensure that each student will have access to the tools and materials necessary to achieve his/her goals. Hello, my name is Dustin Ross.  I am one of the tutors in the Native American tutoring room.  There will be some Native American students scheduled into our room during Warrior Academies. We work to do what is best for the student’s success in the classroom.  It is very important to have open communication between our room and the teacher’s.  I Graduated from Salamanca High School in 2002, and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Ithaca College in 2006.  At the high school I specialize in Math but work with students on all subject areas.  I have worked in the school district for 10 years prior to moving to the Seneca Nation in April 2017.  I enjoy sports and am an Assistant Varsity Football coach for Salamanca.  I have coached football for the district for around 10 years.  I live in Salamanca with my family, my fiance, Callie Fluent, Collin Clousing (step-son), Cale Clousing (step-son), Lotte Ross (Daugther).

Hello, my name is William Brennan.  I am a tutor in the Native American tutoring room at the Salamanca High School.  

I have worked for the Seneca Nation Recreation Department for 14 years and the Seneca Nation Early Childhood Learning Center for 3 years.  I coached Varsity Lacrosse for 3 years at Silver Creek High School.  I bring experience working with Native American students and families and am glad to be a part of the Seneca Nation Education Department as well as the Salamanca City Central School District.

I have been working on behalf of youth for thirty five years in various capacities.  I have developed and started an AmeriCorps program, provided gambling prevention education, smoking cessation presentations, alcohol screenings and variety of other topics to empower community members with the most current information and tools to help create a safe and healthy environment.  In addition, my previous positions as an Teacher Coach, AmeriCorps Program Manager, Mental Health Therapist, Addiction Counselor, Recreational Therapist, Athletic Director, Director of Parks & Recreation and Teacher/Coach, which make me uniquely qualified to work with Students in Today’s World.
