My name is Mr. Jerry Parisi and I am the Native American School Counselor for students in grades 8-12 at Salamanca HS. I have been a School Counselor and Administrator since January 2000. In addition to my role as a school counselor, I am also a Varsity Football coach at Salamanca HS. The core values that define my personal and educational philosophies are building positive relationships, effective communication, mutual respect, and personal responsibility.

I'm originally from the New York City/Long Island area. I graduated from high school having been a member of the football and track teams. I was also a member of many clubs and service organizations. I attended the University at Buffalo where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. I was a member of the UB Bulls football team, the Psi Chi National Honor Society and the Undergraduate Psychology Association. In addition, I worked as a Resident Advisor in the residence halls and as a Computer Consultant in the Information Technology Labs. I continued my education at UB and received Master’s Degrees in School Counseling and Educational Administration.

As a school counselor, it is my job to ensure the academic, social, emotional, cultural and vocational well-being of all my students. One of my goals is to assist students in developing appropriate educational and vocational plans, based on their abilities, interests and objectives with the help of their families. I work to ensure that each student will have access to the tools and materials necessary to achieve his/her goals. If there are any concerns regarding your child, please contact me by phone or email to make an appointment.

I look forward to working with you and your child.
