Food Truck Naming & Design Contest

Salamanca City Central School District is rolling out a brand-new food truck—and we need your creativity to bring it to life! We’re hosting a Food Truck Naming & Design Contest to come up with a catchy name and a bold, eye-catching design for our truck. The winning entry will not only inspire the truck’s branding but also appear on the truck itself!

Official Rules

1. Contest Overview:
We’re launching a new food truck—and we need your creativity! Help us come up with a catchy name and a bold, eye-catching graphic design for the truck. The winning entry will inspire our branding and appear on the truck itself!

2. Contest Period: Entries will be accepted from 05/05/25 to 06/30/25, closing at 5:00PM EST.

3. How to Enter:
Submit your entry via email to sdbl@salamancany.org or Attn: Karen Magara, 50 Iroquois Drive, Salamanca, NY 14779. Each entry must include:

  • A suggested name for the food truck.

  • A design concept for the truck exterior (can be a sketch, digital design, or mood board).

  • Optional: A short explanation (up to 200 words) about your name and design choices. Limit one entry per person or team.

4. Eligibility: Open to individuals or teams aged 8 or older.

5. Entry Requirements:

  • The name must be original and not infringe on trademarks or existing brands.

  • The design must be your own work and visually reflect the food truck’s theme, cuisine, or

    personality.

  • You may include the District Logo in your design.

  • File formats for designs: acceptable formats, e.g., JPG, PNG, or PDF.

  • Offensive or inappropriate entries will be disqualified.

  • Artist/s Name & Contact # MUST be on submission.

6. Selection of Winner:
Submissions will be judged based on the following criteria:

  • Creativity and originality of the name (30%)

  • Relevance to food truck concept (20%)

  • Visual appeal and creativity of the design (40%)

  • Clarity and cohesiveness of overall concept (10%)

Judging will be conducted by a panel of judges. Winners will be announced on August 12, 2025 at the Board of Education Meeting.

7. Prizes:

  • Grand Prize: The winning name and design will be featured on our food truck, plus a $250 gift card.

8. Use of Entry:
By entering, participants grant Salamanca City Central School District full rights to use, modify, and reproduce submitted names and designs for promotional and commercial purposes. All entries become the property of Salamanca City Central School District.

9. Notification of Winners:
Winners will be contacted via phone within 3 days of the announcement. If unresponsive within 5 days, a new winner may be chosen.

10. Legal & General Terms:
We reserve the right to cancel or modify the contest at any time. By entering, you agree to abide by these official rules and all decisions made by the judges.
