Kasen Hardy

The Salamanca Warriors Wrestling team put together a strong showing on Saturday, December 20, at the Linda Knuutila Memorial Tournament, bringing six wrestlers into a highly competitive field of 40 teams. Every Warrior earned at least one victory on the day, and the team finished 19th overall, a testament to their depth and determination.

Leading the way was sophomore Kasen Hardy, who delivered a standout performance at 285 lbs. Kasen went a perfect 4–0, capturing 1st place and continuing to establish himself as one of the top heavyweights in the region. His dominant run adds to an already impressive season, as Kasen is currently ranked #2 in Western New York and #3 in New York State Division II (small schools).

Several other Warriors narrowly missed podium finishes:

  • Noah Longley (132 lbs.) – 2–1

  • Thomas George (165 lbs.) – 1–2

  • Conner Seeley (175 lbs.) – 2–2

  • Jack Merrill (190 lbs.) – 1–2

  • Warrick John – 1–2

Each wrestler fought hard and came just one win short of placing in the top eight, gaining valuable experience against tough competition.

πŸ“… What’s Next:

  • The Warriors return to action at the Eden JV Tournament on Monday, December 29.

  • The Girls Wrestling Team will compete at the Eden Girls Varsity Tournament on Saturday, December 27.
