Congratulations to high school teacher Mrs. Kim Dry who was honored recently by VFW Post 5296 in Salamanca as the Teacher of the Year in August.
Mrs. Dry was recognized by VFW Post 5296 in Salamanca and VFW District 6, which covers Cattaraugus, Allegany, Chautauqua and Erie counties.
Mrs. Dry is a long-time business and technology teacher at Salamanca High School. She is also a Key Club co-advisor.
Post and district level winners are in the running to be honored as state teacher of the year. State winners can earn national honors.
Winning teachers are recognized for their outstanding commitment to teaching Americanism and patriotism to their students.
