Prospect Elementary is excited to welcome our Pre-K and Kindergarten students and families for a special Meet the Teacher Night and Bus Run on Monday, August 24th, from 5:00–5:45 p.m.
This event is designed to help our youngest learners feel comfortable and confident as they prepare for the start of a new school year. Students will have an opportunity to ride the school bus, visit Prospect Elementary, meet their teacher, see their classroom, and become familiar with their new school environment.
As part of the evening, the school bus will pick up each participating child and one adult from their home between 4:15 and 4:45 p.m. Families will arrive at Prospect at approximately 5:00 p.m. Additional family members who would like to attend are welcome to meet their child and accompanying adult at the school. The bus will depart Prospect at 5:45 p.m.
Families are also encouraged to bring any supplies their child may need for the school year. For Pre-K students, this may include a change of clothes, blanket, or stuffed animal for rest time. Dropping these items off ahead of time means one less thing to worry about on the first day!
Most importantly, Meet the Teacher Night gives our students the chance to walk into their classrooms, meet some of the caring adults who will support them, and get a preview of what their school day will be like before the big first day arrives.
