Welcome Back

The First Day of School is Thursday, September 3rd

The first day of school is almost here, and we can’t wait to welcome our students back! As families prepare for Thursday, September 3rd, a few simple steps tonight can help ensure every Warrior has a successful start to the new school year.

Start Tonight for a Great Tomorrow

A successful school day begins with a good evening routine. Encourage students to get to bed early and get a good night’s rest so they wake up refreshed and ready to learn. Pack backpacks, choose clothes, gather school supplies, and set alarms tonight to make the morning less stressful.

Don’t forget breakfast! A healthy breakfast helps students begin the day ready to focus and learn. FREE breakfast is available at school for our students.

Be Ready and Be On Time!

Please allow plenty of time Thursday morning so students can arrive safely and on time.

School Start Times:
High School: 7:45 AM

Seneca Intermediate: 7:45 AM

Prospect Elementary: 8:30 AM

Families should plan for a little extra time during the first few days of school as everyone becomes familiar with new routines, transportation schedules, and arrival procedures.

Riding the Bus?

Students who ride the bus should arrive at their bus stop a few minutes early and be ready when the bus arrives. Students should wait in a safe location away from the roadway, watch for the bus, wait until it comes to a complete stop before approaching, and always follow the bus driver’s safety instructions.

Being ready and on time at the bus stop helps keep our buses β€” and all of our students β€” on schedule!

Attendance Matters β€” Every Day Counts!

One of the most important ways families can support student success is by making school attendance a priority. Being in school, on time, every time helps students learn, build relationships, develop good habits, and stay connected to their school community.

Whenever possible, families are encouraged to schedule medical, dental, and other appointments outside of the school day. When an appointment during school hours cannot be avoided, please try to minimize the amount of instructional time your student misses.

If your student will be absent, please contact the appropriate school office:

  • High School: 716-945-2404 ext. 6301

  • Seneca Intermediate: 716-945-5140 ext. 5264

  • Prospect Elementary: 716-945-5170 ext. 7228

Starting the school year with strong routines and good attendance sets the stage for success. Thank you to our parents and families for being our partners in making this a positive, productive, and exciting year for our students.

Please remember to return any paperwork (Free Reduced Lunch Application, Student Demographic update form, any medical forms) that were mailed home from the school nureses. These forms should be returned to your students school office.

We can’t wait to see you on Thursday. Have a great year, Warriors!
