Huddle For HUnger

Salamanca City Central School District is proud to join the Buffalo Bills Huddle for Hunger Food Drive, bringing our students, staff, families, and community together for one important goalβ€”helping combat hunger right here in our community.

From September 11 through September 21, we are asking members of Warrior Nation to donate non-perishable food items. Donations will help support CCA (Connecting Communities in Action) and our local food bank and soup kitchen, helping provide much-needed food to our neighbors and families.

Students and staff can bring donations directly to school. UPK through Grade 7 students will collect items in their homerooms. At the High School, students should bring donations to their English classes: 8th Grade – Mrs. Roesser; 9th Grade – Mrs. Kinney; 10th Grade – Mrs. Rust; 11th Grade – Mrs. Hoffmann; and 12th Grade – Mr. Spitale. Staff members can drop off their donations in their building’s Faculty/Break Room.

And what would a Bills-inspired challenge be without a little friendly competition? The grade level that collects the most donations will win an ice cream party! Staff are getting in on the competition, tooβ€”the building whose staff collects the most will receive Levi’s chocolate chip cookies! 🍦πŸͺ

Hunger affects communities everywhere, including our own. Huddle for Hunger gives our students an opportunity to see firsthand what can happen when a school community comes together to care for its neighbors. Whether you donate one can or an entire bag of groceries, every contribution makes a difference.

So, Warrior Nation, let’s fill those collection boxes, show our Bills Mafia spirit, and demonstrate once again what Salamanca Strong is all about.

One team. One community. One goal. Let’s Huddle for Hunger and tackle hunger together! β€οΈπŸ’™πŸˆ
