Dear Prospect Families and Staff,
This morning our administrative team met to discuss the progress on the cleaning/remediation at Prospect. As of last evening, the K/1 wing and majority of the 2/3 wing have been cleaned/remediated by Metro Environmental. Stohl Environmental has been on site to collect additional samples and is working with Metro Environmental and the District to further guide remediation activity. We are making good progress. We further anticipate the remaining rooms in the 2/3 wing and the UPK wing will be completed tonight.
This afternoon, Dr. Beehler and I met with the amazing Prospect staff to personally update them on the progress and to address any other areas of concern. They are truly a remarkable group of professionals. We know there are some iPads delivered that need replacement chargers. If you need one, please use class Dojo to contact staff or contact the main office (messages will be forwarded to office staff).
Based on the air samples/testing, I will be able to discuss re-opening with more certainty in the next 24 hours. For parental planning and child care, this is what Tuesday & Wednesday will likely resemble:
Tuesday AM -virtual (computer based) instruction will occur
Tuesday PM- students will be dismissed from virtual instruction at approximately 11:30 am and staff will participate in building based meetings (breakfasts and lunches will be available for student pick up)
Wednesday- student attend in-person at Prospect.
