The May K-Kids meeting marked the final gathering of the year and provided a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our young leaders and the families who support them. Mrs. Sullivan and Mrs. Kloss wanted to end the year with an activity centered on gratitude, recognizing the important role parents and caregivers play in helping students participate and grow through K-Kids.
Students created special thank-you tote bags for their families, decorating canvas bags with heartfelt drawings and messages of appreciation. The children took great pride in their work and carefully created meaningful keepsakes to show their gratitude. A special thank you goes to Ms. Cutting for generously providing the canvas bags for our young leaders.
The excitement continued with a surprise scavenger hunt throughout the school! Students worked together as one team to solve three clues hidden around the building. At each location, they answered questions correctly to earn keys needed to unlock treasure boxes filled with special treats and gifts. The activity was a fun way to practice teamwork, problem-solving, and enjoy one final adventure together.
To wrap up the celebration, everyone enjoyed a popsicle treat before heading home.
Mrs. Sullivan and Mrs. Kloss would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our K-Kids families and to our amazing student leaders. We are confident these children will continue making a positive impact on their school, community, and world around them. Keep being the wonderful young leaders you are today as you head into each tomorrow!
