Alicia Fiske was chosen as the October Business/Marketing Student of the Month by her business teachers for her always going above and beyond what is expected of her.  

Alicia has taken or is taking the following business/marketing classes:  Keyboarding, Financial Management, Entrepreneurship, Comp Application Software I (CSC 1560), Career Planning, and GS 111 College Success Skills. 

Alicia is a student who takes academics very seriously; she is a diligent, conscientious, and self-motivated learner. She takes challenging courses that will help her prepare herself for her future. Alicia is taking college-level classes and advanced level classes to further enhance her educational experience. 

Her determination and hard work have placed her in the top 5 of the class of 2022. Her academic accolades have earned her a spot on the following honor societies: National Junior Honor Society, Business/Marketing Honor Society, Math Honor Society, and the Science Honor Society.  

Alicia has outstanding leadership potential. She leads in class discussions whether it be in the classroom or during a Zoom session. She is involved in both the Salamanca City Youth Board and the NYS Governor’s Youth Council where she has taken on leadership roles. 

She has excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Alicia joined DECA last year, and she has been a great asset to our DECA membership.  

She has a wonderful personality, she is always enthusiastic, dependable, and she encourages others to do their best. These skills also translate to the working world, and in the summer, Alicia used those skills and more at her job as a summer playground attendant for the city of Salamanca. Alicia has also tutored students in math after school.  

In addition to her academic accolades, Alicia enjoys participating in soccer, bowling, golf, and swim. She has been a scholar athlete for all of these. Alicia is also an avid kickboxer, and she is involved in karate. 

Alicia has been a soloist in concert band, and she has been in the graduation band. She has participated in the NYSSMA solo festival, and has competed at the Darien Lake Music Festival.
Alicia is a mature young woman who is not persuaded by others who have negative influences. She is caring and compassionate and is always willing to help others. 

She is involved with our Unified Sports Team. She has played in and worked the Andrea Morton Memorial Soccer Tournament, she has fundraised for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and she has been an alter server for St Mary’s Church.

Alicia is a very well-rounded individual with many outstanding attributes, which is why she was chosen by the teachers to become our high school’s CCSE Federal Credit Union Bank Manager.  This is a very prestigious honor to be chosen as our representative for this. Alicia was chosen based on her confidentiality, interpersonal skills, leadership skills, trustworthiness, intrinsic motivation, and her ability to help others.  

Alicia’s goal after graduating from high school is to pursue a degree in physical therapy.
