We’re proud to share that Salamanca City Central School District has been selected as one of ten school districts nationwide to receive a $50,000 grant to improve indoor air quality (IAQ) and reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) in our schools! 🌱🏫
This grant—awarded by the National School Boards Association (NSBA) in partnership with the Go Green Initiative (GGI)—will help us create healthier, more sustainable learning environments for our students and staff.
As part of this exciting initiative, Salamanca will:
✅ Assess and improve indoor air quality across the district
✅ Develop a board-approved plan to reduce GHGs
✅ Train staff and engage the community in environmental stewardship
✅ Measure and report our progress every step of the way
We’re honored to be part of this first-ever national cohort and look forward to the positive changes ahead. A big thank you to NSBA and GGI for their support and to our school board and community for their continued commitment to student health and success! 💚🌍
