Earlier today, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced an end to the statewide mask mandate for schools effective Wednesday, March 2nd. Students, staff and all visitors in our buildings will be asked to continue to wear a mask until Wednesday.
In the Salamanca School District, this will apply to all school buildings as well as buses. Those who wish to continue mask up for personal reasons will be free to do so, the district will continue to have masks available for students and staff. We ask for your cooperation in continuing to wear masks until Wednesday, March 2nd. In addition, there will be NO district-based, school-based or classroom-based mask mandates as of March 2nd.
Thank you to all the parents/guardians that have supported us in abiding by the NYS mask mandate up to this point. And thank you to our faculty and staff for your support throughout these trying times.
