Our creative teachers!

Casey Cutting

Miss Casey Cutting
Prospect Elementary PK-3

I was born and raised in Endicott, NY. I received my BFA from Alfred University and the New York State College of Ceramics, I have minors in photography and art history. Afterwards I received my Masters of Science in Education in the Visual Arts Education from SUNY New Paltz. In 2009 I moved to Salamanca and began my wonderful life as the Pre-K-3 art teacher at Prospect Elementary. I have spent the past 10 years in colorful, organized chaos helping the next generation of artists blossom and grow. When I'm not in my classroom you can find me coaching either volleyball or girls lacrosse. In my free time, I enjoy reading a good book with a cup of tea, taking my pups for kayak trips and generally being outside.

My favorite art forms are traditional photography and sculpture, but you can also find me painting occasionally.

Lori MacArthur

Mrs. Lori MacArthur
HS 8-12

Born and raised in Allegany, NY. BFA at SUNY Fredonia, Master in Education at R.I.T.
Coached: Swimming and Diving, Track and Field, and Softball

My Philosophy: In a society of teaching to the test and correct answers art is a chance for the student to explore creative problem solving.  In life there are often more than one way to get the answer and also more than one solution to the problem.  The arts give the students the confidence and ingenuity to look outside the norm to solve problems.
