Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age
Valid, Class D Drivers License
New York State Fingerprint Clearance
Pass Federal Drug Screening (no cannabis)

As a licensed bus driver you would be responsible for driving one or all modes of transportation in our fleet that include:
One of our two - Modified Coach Buses (red / gray bus as seen above)
School Vans / Cars
Full size standard yellow school bus (35 feet) Passenger Capacity 65-66
Micro School Bus - (20-25 feet) Passenger Capacity 10-15
The district provides an “in-house” training program to individuals seeking licensure as a School Bus Driver. The district training program is through the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), specifically the Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) program. There is no prescribed time limit on completing the training, however, the district aims to have you licensed and permitted to transport students within 12 months. Please review below the steps the program will take you through.
