Anyone attending the football game on Friday night or any large event at Vets Park in the future will have to go through the weapons detection device which will be set up at the Hillview entrance gate.
Anyone parking at the Front Avenue parking lot or walking through the Broad Street pedestrian gate will be wanded with a handheld scanning device.
Some additional changes will be:
The Broad Street entrance to Vets Park will be closed to through traffic. The only vehicles permitted to use the Broad Street entrance will be the visiting team bus, emergency vehicles (ambulance, deputy sheriffs, Salamanca PD), and the referees for the night’s event.
The lights for the baseball field, lacrosse box, and the playground will remain on for everyone’s safety until the main event is over.
At the end of the 3rd quarter an announcement will be made that the baseball field, lacrosse box, and playground will be closed and we ask that parents/guardians have your children return to your care at this time.
The baseball field, lacrosse box, and playground will be staffed by one of the school’s event supervisors. If at anytime students begin fighting, acting disrespectful to one another or to the event supervisor, or are not listening to the event supervisor, that area will be closed, and the students may lose their privilege to attend future events.
Any student who is on ELOC or OSS (Out of School Suspension) is not permitted on school grounds until their suspension is up or they are off ELOC. If they show up to an event they will be turned away.
