School Closure

Warrior Nation,

I am writing to inform you that the Salamanca City Central School District administration is monitoring a number of possible exposures to COVID-19 for students and staff in our school community. We have been in contact with the Cattaraugus County Department of Health and can confirm there are no positive first contact diagnoses at this time.

While we have no positive/confirmed cases, we are continuing to monitor the situations closely. As a result, and out of an abundance of caution, all afternoon school activities are cancelled for Wednesday, October 14, 2020.

All schools (Prospect, Seneca Intermediate, High School and Warrior Academy) will be closed to inperson instruction and be VIRTUAL on Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16, 2020 and after school activities will be cancelled as well to allow our buildings and grounds staff to implement our cleaning protocols in accordance with our reopening plan.

ALL INSTRUCTION on Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16th will be VIRTUAL.

Additional information will be forthcoming about food service delivery.

The health, safety, and well-being of our school community remains our top priority and while there are NO positive cases, we are taking this proactive measure to ensure maximum safety.

We will follow up with more information as it becomes available. You may also visit our school website, at www.salamancany.org and our Facebook page for the latest updates.
